Alex Braslavsky is a poet, translator, and scholar. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in the Slavic Department at Harvard University, where she writes scholarship on Russian, Polish, and Czech poetry through a comparative poetics lens. Her dissertation is on the works of three nonagenarian women poets—Krystyna Miłobędzka, Elizaveta Mnatsakanova, and Bohumila Grögerová. She presented on her research this year as a Harvard Horizons Scholar. Her poems appear and are forthcoming in Colorado Review, The Indianapolis Review, and Rhino, among other journals. Her translated volume of Zuzanna Ginczanka’s poetry was released with World Poetry Books in 2023.
